Those who are planted in the house of the Lord shall flourish in the courts of our God. They shall still bear fruit in old age; They shall be fresh and flourishing, to declare that the Lord is upright; He is my rock, and there is no unrighteousness in Him. Psalm 92:13-15

Frequently Asked Questions
Where is the Church building?
Oasis Church
10a Exchange St.
South Elmsall
Pontefract
WF9 2RD
What time should I arrive?
Our main service starts at 10: 30, so if you want to come for that then any time between 10:15 and 10: 30.
Don’t worry if you are late, there will be someone to greet you and show you to a seat; just join in when you arrive.
Where can I park?
If you drive past the church you will enter a large Aldi car park. Parking is free for the first two hours.
What can I expect to happen?
We are an Evangelical, Spirit-filled church and, while we don’t encourage some of the excesses of some churches, we are very open to the move of the Spirit, so long as it agrees with and conforms to scripture.
We do have communion, but this does not happen every week, so that it does not become a cold tradition just done for the sake of it.
After the service we stay behind for fellowship as long as people want – and drink coffee! (Tea and cold drinks are also available).
How long does the service last?
We are led by the Spirit and we can’t put a time limit on Him, but generally speaking around 90 minutes. But please don’t rush off afterwards, we stay behind for fellowship and have tea or coffee (we have freshly ground coffee by the way) and usually cake and/or biscuits.
What should I wear?
Clothes! Seriously though, come as you are. We have no set requirements, although perhaps best to leave bikinis/speedos for the beach 😉
Can I bring my kids?
Absolutely! we are very family-friendly and welcome children. The kids stay with us for the praise and worship and then go for more age appropriate church. We have our version of Sunday school – Camel Club, for children up to 9 years old. 10 to 15 years old have Curious Kids Church, and over 15 years are expected to stay in the main meeting with the adults.
Our Children’s leaders have had all their background checks done and are qualified to lead the groups.
What if I have other questions?
Ask them! Send us a message via the contact form below, give us a call on 01977 648 394 Or better yet, call in and see us. Palms Coffee Lounge is open Monday till Friday from 10am till 2:00pm. Pop in for an informal chat and a coffee. (Did I mention the coffee).
